Lavender has long been a favorite flower and color of genteel ladies. This shade of purple suggests refinement along with grace, elegance, and something special. I wanted to capture the simple symmetries of the beautiful color as it extended to what seemed to be miles of color.

I’m beyond thrilled to be working with Becky and Darell for their wedding this Oct, and Becky’s mother, Julie too. Becky and Darell make each other better, and I’m incredibly honored to shoot their engagement on last Saturday. I can’t wait for their wedding, partially because we get to hang out with them again :)

On last Saturday, I had the chance of joining my fellowship from church to Brooklyn Botanic Garden for spring outing. It was a beautiful day, Vivian and I both have a great time. Here are two photos of Onesia and Serena. In the afternoon on the same location we covered an engagement session for a great couple. I will post the photos later the week.

I covered a pre-wedding party last night for a great couple: Janie and Ryan. In Chinese culture, Double Happiness means that the couple and their families would live together harmoniously if the symbol is put in their house. On the occasion of their wedding, the HAPPY character was doubled and put on a red paper. The symbol was used to mark the happiness of the event. The double happiness symbol thus attained a respectable position in Chinese art of calligraphy and is used in weddings.

Congratulations to Janie and Ryan- A wedding is a wonderful beginning…to love that lasts a lifetime. Best Wishes on Your Wedding Day.
