I made this image in Madison Square Park yesterday after work. The positioning of the kid on the right hand side adds to the impact of the photograph. The sun was starting to set and the backlight make the water so beautiful. Canon 40D with 70-200mm lens at 200mm, F4 @ 1/2500 second at ISO...

This image shows the power of a macro lens to easily isolate the subject and create some really cool compositions. Illumination was supplied by my Canon 580EX2 flash aim to a reflector behind the water bowl. The small aperture and fast shutter speed darkened the background considerably there-by isolating the water in the composition. Below...
